D – ‘Advice and Networking’

Advising and networking (D) includes formats in which doctoral students can advise each other on issues that are relevant to their doctoral studies or to their careers. For example, before an important presentation at a conference, there is an opportunity to participate in a separate presentation session and receive last-minute feedback. > Dates on request

The GPP also offers its members the opportunity to participate in peer advisory groups to promote exchange and networking among doctoral students. These groups provide a forum for developing solutions to a variety of problems and are an opportunity for cross-disciplinary networking. The advisory groups provide a safe space where questions are kept confidential and both those seeking advice and those providing it can communicate on an equal footing.
