Our goal is the production of a highly polarised electron beam for the MAMI accelerator system. This beam is used for particle and nuclear physics experiments in our institute and will be necessary for future high-energy electron accelarators like the ILC (International Linear Collider) as well.
Main fields of research are:
- Improvement of the operating parameters (polarisation and beam current) of the polarised source at MAMI
- Investigation of time-resolved photoemission
- Development of laser systems for the sources
