In the funding period 2015/16 the CTVB has awarded two postdoctoral fellowships to support excellent work projects in the research field Vascular Biology.
As part of his work project, Dr. Alexander Schuster deals with the topic "Choroidal thickness as a new cardiovascular risk indicator". His supervisor is Prof. Dr. Pfeiffer of the Department of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Antonio Pinto deals with the topic "The Role of Genetics, lifestyle and subclinical disease for Development and Progression of Cardiovascular Disease in Individuals at Risk for Type II Diabetes Mellitus". Mr. Pinto is part of Prof. Dr. Wild’s research Group.
