The study program is divided into the following three blocks: Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science. As Natural Science one of the following subjects can be chosen: Theoretical Chemistry, Geosciences, Atmospheric Physics or Physics of Condensed Matter. Each block contains different modules which are composed of different courses. All courses which are currently offered at the university can be found by using the link Vorlesungen in the information system of the Johannes Gutenberg-University, Mainz, called Jogustine.
A detailed structure of the study program can be found in the Studienverlaufspläne (in German). The Prüfungsordnung (in German) contains all regulations of the required exams during the program including the Master thesis and final examination.
