Task-related skills in educational fields of occupational activities

Project description

The subproject “professional field survey” (University of Hamburg) asks relevant employers for graduates of the educational sciences about the tasks their employees have to fulfill. The aim of the qualitative interview study is to derive heterogeneous types of requirement which will be connected with results of the secondary analyses of the subproject “graduates survey” (HIS Institute for Research on Higher Education). In the subproject “graduates survey” the professional activities of highly skilled personnel (in the domain of educational sciences) will be examined through secondary analyses using data of graduates from different cohorts and in different phases of their occupational biography. Additionally, a survey instrument for analyzing task skills/competency fields will be developed. This instrument will be based on t existing instruments as well as on results of the qualitative substudy “professional field survey” and will be used in an online survey with about 17.250 graduates (including about 2.800 graduates of educational sciences).
