Scholarships for Doctors in Research (Gerok Posts)

Postgraduate medical students can leave the field of patient care with a Gerok post (50% or 100%) financed by the Focus Program Translational Neurosciences (FTN), in order to work on basic research in a neuroscientific laboratory. Candidates must have received back a previously approved DFG-application for the purpose of revision.

Registered FTN members are entitled to nominate potential scholarship recipients who have displayed exceptional commitment. Candidates should submit applications with the regular documents (resume, an outline (no more than two pages) of the planned project, contribution from their own laboratory, and a brief covering letter from a FTN member) by e-mail to the FTN.
