You are interested in natural sciences and you don't have any concerns about physics and mathematics?
-
You would like to know, how, where and why hurricanes develop?
-
You ask yourself why the world is concerned about global warming while New York sinks in snow?
-
You would like to know why the perfect weather prediction is an utopical dream?

The institute offers research-oriented course programs for undergraduate and graduate students:
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Meteorology
Courses covering basic knowledge in mathematics and physics are complemented by lectures and practicals on basics of theoretical and experimental meteorology. A wide range of possible subsidiary courses completes the course program. This program is offered in german language only!
Master of Science (M.Sc.) Meteorology
After successful completion of the B.Sc. studies, students are encouraged to enroll for the two year M.Sc. program. This mediates deeper insight into atmospheric dynamics, trace gases, atmospheric chemistry and numerical modeling. Lectures on current topics of atmospheric research as well as elective modules complete the program. MSc students are actively involved into the institute's research groups.
