The Research Center for Immunotherapy (FZI) promotes scientists from the clinical fields with scholarships. On this way physicians can combine science and patient care.
The scientifically active physicians work together with scientists in translational research projects. At this there should be gained findings on different immunological research topics, where dysregulated immune responses and inefficient disease control are focused.
The establishment of these research projects leads in
- a tight cooperation of clinical and preclinical institutions
- better posibilities for interactions with other research structures of the university and
- a reinforcement of clinical research areas of the FZI.
The targeted connection of the FZI to the graduate school „Mainz Research School of Translational Biomedicine (TransMed)“ the education of the young scientists is orientated on the knowledge of clinical translation.
