To realize the aims of the FZI the Research Center strives to promote young scientists. In different translational research projects PhD Students are working in different immunologic topics where the focus is in a dysregulated immune system or a inefficient disease control.
The developement of the research projects leads in
- a stronger interconnection between the clinical departments and preclinical institutes
- better posibilities for interactions with other research structures of the university and
- a reinforcement of clinical research areas of the FZI.
Most of the research projects are focussed on specific diseases like multiple sclerosis or different tumor diseases.
The targeted connection of the FZI to the graduate school „Mainz Research School of Translational Biomedicine (TransMed)“ the education of the young scientists is orientated on the knowledge of clinical translation.
