The class will discuss the basic differences of tropical dynamics from that of the midlatitudes and will introduce the main circulation features and weather systems of the tropics: the Hadley cell, the Walker circulation, ENSO, monsoon, tropical and African Easterly waves, and tropical cyclones.Dates
