PhD Students (Project-Related Research) – Nadine Müller, MA

Originally from the area of phonology, in which I analysed prosodic structures of the German language by means of EEG, I now find myself as a PhD student and research assistant in the Marburg-Mainz cooperation project “Durch die rosarote Brille gesehen” i.e. “looking through rose-coloured glasses”. Thus my research interests lie in studying the verbalisation of emotional and other internal states. Of particular interest is the processing of figurative and metaphorical expressions in contrast to literal, comparing patients with clinical depression and healthy control groups. Besides behavioral data, my research focuses on the underlying neural correlates that will be revealed using fMRI.
