Opening Conference on January 29, 2020, in Bonn
The opening conference for the BMBF funding initiative "Research for the Internationalization of Vocational Training" took place on January, 29, 2020 in the offices of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Bonn, Germany. The project manager DLR organized the opening conference on behalf of the BMBF and in collaboration with the MP-INVET metaproject. During the conference, which was attended by about 50 representatives from research and education policy, the focus was on networking and exchange among the nine research projects.
The event was opened with a panel discussion, which focused on the question of international vocational training cooperation, development opportunities, concrete activities and what these might look like. The panel discussion was attended by Stefan Schneider (ERASMUS and International Cooperation in Vocational Training), Antje Wessels (DLR) and Prof. Dr. Olga Zlatkin-Troitschanskaia (MP-INVET). After the panel discussion, the research projects presented their planned research work in the plenary session, and the metaproject (MP-INVET) with its objectives and tasks was introduced. This was followed by a group work phase in which the networking and project cooperation was addressed more specifically. Finally, the results of the group work phase were presented and discusses in a plenary session, and first arrangements for further steps were made.
The opening conference for the new funding initiative was concluded with closing words by the MP-INVET meta-project and DLR representatives.
