Prof. Dr. Christian Dormann studied at the University Muenster and Giessen, pedagogy, mathematics, psychology (graduation 1994), and applied informatics (graduation 1993), followed by periods as assistant and associate professor (1994 – 2004) at the university Konstanz (until 1997) and the University Frankfurt (until 2004). His doctoral thesis (2000) dealt with methodological problems of longitudinal studies in stress research. In 2004 he became professor of work, organizational and business psychology at the University Mainz. From 2011 until 2013 he led the chair of business psychology at the University Bochum. In 2013, Prof. Dormann returned to the University Mainz to overtake the chair of business education and management.
Research
His research focus is on stress in organizations, longitudinal methods, and evidence-based management (projects).
Publications
Among other, he has published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Psychological Methods (list of publications). He also served as an editor of the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology and as associate and consulting editor of several other journals.
