Give it a go!

Objectives:
Motivated school-age children discover not only interesting facts relating to a whole range of topics from the field of physics but also learn to experiment, observe, and enjoy their encounter with the world around them. This project thus provides an activity-based introduction to the realms of scientific learning by giving youngsters insight into the way that scientists think and work. Teacher training students preparing to teach physics at school thus also learn about the content and methodology of modern teaching techniques in science for a class of 5th and 6th graders.

Target group:
20 pupils from the 5th and 6th grade who have themselves enrolled for the project.

Method:
Small groups conduct experiments themselves under supervision.
