Dear students,On the occasion of the examination registration phase of the current SoSe 2025(16.-30. June 2025, 13h), we would like to point out that you can only take part in examinations in Geography if you register for them during this examination registration phase.
You may have already been "implicitly" registered for the first examination attempts when you registered for the course, in which case you would no longer need to be active (status "confirmed" in Jogustine behind examinations).
There is no automatic exam registration for repeat exams; it is your responsibility to register for the exam (technical note: the registration button for repeat exams is often found in the semester of exam admission, please reset the semester selection accordingly).
At this point, we would like to draw your attention to the retake deadlines for examinations in the 2nd or 3rd attempt provided for in your examination regulations after a first examination attempt has been assessed as "failed". If the resit deadline expires without a successful 2nd or 3rd examination attempt, you will be deemed to have failed the degree program.
How these retake deadlines are defined in detail may be regulated individually in each examination regulation, so please be sure to refer to the PO valid for your degree program:

During the exam registration period, withdrawals from exams are generally possible, with a few exceptions. We offer a special concession for exams in the subject of geography: these can be withdrawn up to 48 hours before the exam date. The exam registration period for the B-dates of some exams in October (= part of the winter semester 2025/26) will run from September 1st to 30th, 2025, at 1 p.m. In the subject of geography, you are not required to attend the first exam date. If you wish, you can also choose the B-date or a later date for your first attempt. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time by email: studienbuero@geo.uni-mainz.de.
