Un/doing Differences OVER/TURE 14th May, 2014

AUFTAKT_Banner

Established in 2013 at Johannes Gutenberg-University, the DFG research group "Un/doing Differences. Practices in Human Differentiation" will introduce itself to the public on May 14, 2014. Common to the members of the research group is an underlying interest in the creation, overlapping and invalidation of various cultural distinctions drawn between members of society – an interest, in other words, both in the “doing” and the “undoing” of differences.

We cordially invite you to get to know the group and its 8 sub-projects (from sociology, anthropology, american studies, theater studies and linguistics). We are especially looking forward to a keynote address by Prof. Timo Heimerdinger from the Department of History and European Ethnology at Innsbruck University. After the keynote, you are invited to meet us in a poster forum and enjoy a refreshment.
