The seminar "The book and other media" focuses on the relationship between book and image from a media-theoretical perspective. The interplay between imagery and writing is analysed from an interdisciplinary perspective. The production and reception of different types of books containing images will be discussed. Various guest lectures are integrated into the exercise, e.g. by a representative of the Illustrators' Organisation (https://illustratoren-organisation.de/). The awarding of the "Golden Brush" 2024 (http://www.ninadulleck.de/der-goldene-pinsel), a prize for illustration, on 14 May 2024 will take place as part of the course.Dates
