During the workshop "Byzantium and the Islamic World" Jakub Sypiański (Aix-en-Provence) will discuss on the basis of his dissertation the relation between Byzantium and the Islamic world in the early and middle Byzantine period.
The speaker will address the topic "Paideia and Adab - Comparison of Concepts of Education and Knowledge in Byzantium and Islam".
The workshop is open for members of the Research Training Group 1876 and the Doktorandennetzwerk Byzanz Mainz.
