The Jazz and Popular Music Department maintains a wide-ranging, vibrant network of contacts abroad. Within the context of a cooperation agreement with the University of Miami, students have the possibility of spending 1-2 terms of their study time in the United States. The University also has Erasmus agreements with numerous European conservatories in Italy, Austria, Norway, Poland, etc. (see here).
Moreover there are regular, highly successful collabortions with foreign universities, e.g. "Jazz from Mainz and Paris 2012" with the renowned Conservatoire de Paris, in cooperationwith the DAAD and the Institut francais.
