Funding opportunities

The decline in basic funding for universities and growing competitive pressure make the acquisition of third-party funding for research increasingly necessary. For researchers, this means that they have to spend more time researching for funding. It is extremely time-consuming and labour-intensive to filter out the right funding opportunities from the vast amount of information available. We offer a number of solutions for this, including one for your needs.

ELFI

Elektronisches Forschungsförder-Informationen - the comprehensive solution

JGU members can use the extensive database free of charge. It is updated weekly and offers thousands of research funding programmes from several thousand national and international funding bodies across 260 research areas and 34 cross-cutting topics, including all details such as deadlines and endowments.

The service can be tailored to the profile of your research interests or specific types of funding (e.g. project funding, travel expenses) and offers further information such as a list of research and transfer offices at German universities and funding opportunities for students (scholarships, exchanges, etc.).

The search for scholarships for students is freely accessible, with registration you can use the full range of functions of ELFI.
