Maja Rajković wurde in Belgrad geboren. Sie ist Absolventin der Akademie der Künste in Novi Sad, Klasse von Konstantin Bogino, und der "Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale" in Portogruaro (ltalien). Ihren Master of Arts erhielt sie an der „Faculty of Music“ in Belgrad, wo sie heute als Professorin tätig ist. Im Jahr 1998 wurde sie zur Präsidentin der „Jeunesses Musicales of Belgrade“ und im Jahr 2001 zur Vizepräsidentin des MCNM (Mediterranean Collaboration of New Musicians) ernannt. Ihr erstes Konzert spielte sie im Alter von 14 Jahren und gewann im Verlauf ihrer Schul- und Studienzeit mehrere Preise bei nationalen Wettbewerben. So gewann sie den dritten Preis beim „Carlo Soliva International Competition” in Italien und ist Preisträgerin des „Rachmaninov ’93 Concours” in Belgrad. 1994 gewann sie den Publikumspreis und den dritten Preis beim „24th Jeunesses Musicales Competition“ in Belgrad. Sie war mir ihrer Musik bereits mehrfach im Radio und im Fernsehen zu hören, zum Beispiel ihre Zusammenarbeit mit dem „Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra“ und dem „Radio and Television Symphonic Orchestra“. Sie spielte auf Festivals wie ”Days of Music” in Herceg Novi, “Belgrade Music Festival BEMUS”, ”Split Summer”, “Podgorica Summer”, ”The power of the piano”, “Festival Internazionale di Musica da Camera” (Italien) und “International Women’s Musical Meeting" (Athen). Sie konzertiert in vielen Ländern Europas und ist auch eine sehr aktive Kammermusikerin.
