How do I find a language tandem partner?
You fill in an application form. The deadline for the mediation generally ends at the end of April (for the summer semester) and at the end of October (for the winter semester), respectively. Please mind the exact dates in the upcoming semester. You will find the link to the registration here.
Note: For the registration, you will need an E-Mail address by Johannes-Gutenberg University Mainz. If you do not have demanded one at the ZDV, please do this in advance!
How do I meet the mediated tandem partner?
After the mediation has taken place, you will all receive an E-Mail about whether there is a potential tandem partner for you. You are invited to a first meeting with your tandem partner if we have found someone for you. You two decide when your next meeting will take place and in which intervals you want to meet. In the first official meeting the coordinator will give you useful practical advice for learning in a tandem in order to make progress and to have fun, too. Additionally, we schedule thematic meetings with you where we provide advice and exercises to topics you two have selected.
