Preparatory German courses offered

Prerequisites for acceptance for the preparatory German courses for the
"Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH)"

You have a direct university entrance qualification, but you cannot yet provide proof of sufficient knowledge of German for studying at a German university?

Then the following information is made for you!

Foreign university applicants which have been admitted to studies in Germany by Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, have to provide proof of their German knowledge before their studies begin. The evidence can be provided with the help of the “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” (DSH – German language test for admission to university).

At the ISSK, this exam is carried out in accordance with the examination regulations concerning the DSH in conjunction with the corresponding regulatory framework of the German Rectors’ Conference (“Hochschulrektorenkonferenz, HRK”).

Through this examination, applicants prove whether or not they have the oral and written language skills in both general and academic terms for the planned area of studies.

Applicants must be capable of understanding spoken and written texts related to academic situations as well as to edit them and write them themselves.
