The Irène Joliot-Curie blog is a forum for women in and around the PRISMA Cluster of Excellence. It is open for the entire physics faculty. PRISMA researcher Prof. Dr. Concettina Sfienti writes about all aspects of a scientific career. This blog offers help, tips and tricks, and practical information for all career stages. First and foremost, however, this blog provides women (and interested men as well) with a venue for discussion and exchange. You are invited to participate actively in shaping the program and to contribute ideas of your own — social media and real life are complementary entities. This blog is a platform for those who do not want to rely on chance alone in their scientific career planning — chance does bring opportunities, but to find out which ones are worth pursuing, professional planning, targeted support, experienced contact persons and communication with colleagues can make that little difference.
If you want more Information distributed via firstname.lastname@example.org, please register by sending an email with your Name, Gender, Group and part of the faculty directly to email@example.com. Male colleagues, that are interested in obtaining information, are invited to do so, as well.
