Winter School in January 2022

January 27 and 28, 2022, from 9:00 bis 15:30 each day.

Electroorganic synthesis is an essential building block in sustainable chemistry to defossilize the chemical industry. As part of the BMBF-Zukunftscluster-Initiative, ETOS plans to be the first significant technology platform to bridge organic synthesis chemistry to (electro)chemical process and reaction engineering and to generate novel proposed solutions and key technologies for sustainable, robust, and future-proof processes and products along the entire value chain. The Winter School will give students an overview of the chemical and engineering challenges of developing this alternative sustainable technology.

The Winter School aims to teach the fundamentals of technology, process development, and optimization to industrial competitiveness using this application example. Participation in the event is free of charge and will be confirmed by a certificate.

Speakers will include Dr. Nicola Aust (BASF), Prof. Dr. Siegfried R. Waldvogel (JGU Mainz), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrike Krewer (KIT Karlsruhe), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bastian J. M. Etzold (TU Darmstadt) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Sauer (KIT Karlsruhe).

Topics:

  • Chemical fundamentals of organic electrosynthesis
  • Electrodes
  • Electrolyzers
  • Electrochemical processes

The event will be held as a digital event. Registration is open until January 26, 2022, via:
