Highest honors for three PhD graduates

Dr. Markus Zinser

received his PhD with summa cum laude on December 16th, 2016.

His doctoral thesis "Search for New Heavy Charged Bosons and Measurement of High-Mass Drell-Yan production in proton-proton collisions" was  supervided by Professor Dr. Stefan Tapprogge (Institute of Physics - Experimental Partical and Astroparticle Physics).

He was awarded with the "GRK PhD Thesis Award 2017" and the price of the Department for Physics, Mathematics and Computational Science.

 

Dr. Raoul Malm

received his PhD with summa cum laude on November 21st, 2016.
His doctoral thesis "Five-Dimensional Perspective on Higgs Physics and the b Transition in a Warped Extradimension" was supervised by Professor Dr. Matthias Neubert (Institute of Physics - Theoretical High Energy Physics).
He receives the price of the "Freunde und Förderer der JGU 2017".

 

 

 

 

Dr. Oleksandr Tomalak

Image linkDr. Oleksandr Tomalak who had graduated from Taras Shevchenko university in Kiev/Ukraine received his PhD with summa cum laude on October 11th, 2016 in Mainz.
His doctoral thesis "Two-Photon Exchange Corrections in Elastic Lepton-Proton Scattering" was supervised by Professor Dr. Marc Vanderhaeghen (Institute for Nuclear Physics - Theory Group).
He receives the PhD award of the Johhannes Gutenberg University.
