We, the Radiation Protection Group of the Institute for Nuclear Physics at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, welcome you to our homepage. We hope you find all the information you need, and look forward to your visit.
We take care of:
- dosimetry for employees and guests
- radiation safety instruction of employees and guests
- monitoring of radiation at the accelerator/experiments and in adjacent halls
- proper disposal of materials from radiation areas
You can borrow from us:
- additional electronic dosimeters (display of accumulated dose)
- radioactive sources for testing and calibration of particle detectors
Via the link "radiation protection instructions" on the left you have access to the current radiation protection instructions for our institute and additional documents.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions about radiation safety, devices for radiation measurements, or radiation safety procedures.
