Neither the Jahn Library nor the Department of Anthropology and African Studies provide financial support to visiting scholars. However, international as well as German scholars and doctoral students may apply to various funding bodies and foundations for external funding, which is awarded on a competitive basis. The Head of the Jahn Library or any other member of the Department of Anthropology and African Studies may function as "host" in this regard.
