1998: Research on the communal land reform in Namibia within the framework of the department of Anthropology and African Studies of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz.

2000: A field research commissioned by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit mbH (GTZ) on Poverty Alleviation by Consolidation of Property and Ownership in a Communal Area in Namibia.
