Vita Dr. Daniel C. Henrich (deutsch/englisch)

Daniel C. Henrich hat als Stipendiat der Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes bei Axel Honneth in Frankfurt promoviert und während dieser Zeit einen Forschungsaufenthalt an der Boston University zum Thema „Naturalismus“ absolviert. Danach war er Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut Philosophy & Economics an der Universität Bayreuth und erhielt anschließend ein Stipendium der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) für das Graduiertenkolleg „Bioethik“ am Internationalen Zentrum für Ethik in den Wissenschaften in Tübingen. Darüber hinaus war er assoziiertes Mitglied der Forschungsgruppe "Herausforderungen für Menschenbild und Menschenwürde durch neuere Entwicklungen der Medizintechnik" des Zif an der Uni Bielefeld und ist seit August 2012 auch assoziiertes Mitglied am Internationalen Zentrum für Ethik in den Wissenschaften .

Seit April 2013 arbeitet er als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Philosophie der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.

After finsihing his PhD in Frankfurt with Axel Honneth as a fellow of the German National Academic Foundation, Daniel C. Henrich completed a research visit at the Boston University (subject: “naturalism”) and then worked as an assistant professor at the department for Philosophy & Economics at the University of Bayreuth.

Afterwards he was awarded a scholarship of the German Research Foundation (DFG) for the research training group “Bioethics” at the Interdepartmental Centre for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW) in Tübingen, Germany. At this time he was mainly concerned with bioethical questions and published several papers on this issue.

Moreover Daniel C. Henrich was an associated member of the research group »Challenges to the Image of Humanity and Human Dignity by New Developments in Medical Technology« at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research, University Bielefeld, Germany and currently is an associated member of the Interdepartmental Centre for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities.

Since April 2013 he is 'scientific assistant' at the department for Philosophy at the University of Mainz.
