Visiting Researchers – Dr Laura Maffongelli

My research interests focus on the relation between language and action with respect to the syntactic mechanisms involved. Specifically, I investigate the neurophysiological basis of the processing of complex action sequences during action observation in the infant and adult brain. Specific interest lies on how similar phenomena might, or might not, relate to the processing of complex sentences in language. EEG, eye tracking and TMS measurements are at the basis of my research question.
