Inhalt
This is an introductory course on video production. The students will learn the fundamentals of digital video making and editing. The course intends to illustrate how to capture, edit and export video using non-linear editing software. The students will identify image and sounds that create impact, emotion, meaning and work on final group projects throughout the semester. Final projects will include audiovisual essays and video art projects.About the Theme
This section of the film practice class shapes around the question "How will we live together?", inspired by the themes of Istanbul(2017) and Venice(2021) Biennales. Massive population displacements, intensifying climate crisis and political instabilities around the world have led to growing racial, social, and economic inequalities and discrimination. In the light of current events, students are encouraged to redefine what it means to be a 'good neighbor' both on the planet and in the geography they live in.
