Behavioural and Emotional Economics – Lectures and Workshop

Here is the detailed schedule of the lectures "Behavioural and Emotional Economics" by and workshop with Abhinash Borah (University of Pennsylvania and University of Mainz) and Botond Koszegi (University of California at Berkeley). The lectures are targeted at PhD students and young post-docs. In addition to the lectures, students can interact with Abhinash and Botond during their office hours. They will be announced during the lectures.

All participants in the lectures should register by sending an email to Silke Brandau by 30 June 2011.

The Mainz School of Management and Economics can finance accommodation for a limited number of external participants in the lecture. Participants would have to cover their own travel expenses. Early registration is highly welcome and accommodation is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. When registering, please send us a CV and - if available - a (draft of a) research paper of yours.

(*) The talks by Dirk Engelmann, Abhinash Borah, Botond Koszegi, David Dillenberger and Larbi Alaoui in the research workshop count as lectures for this summerschool. The idea is to combine typical lectures (as visible on this page) with more advanced material from current research.

For students enrolled in our PhD programme, the course can be credited as a field course after writing a term paper. The course will then count for 4 ECTS. For students from other universities, we offer exams or mark term papers or research proposals. Details will be discussed bilaterally during the summer school.
