Call for papers – Economics and Econometrics of the Labour Market

On 8 June 2010, the Department of Economics at the University of Mainz organizes a one-day workshop on Economics and Econometrics of Labour Markets.

The purpose of the workshop is to stimulate exchange of ideas in modeling and evaluating labour market policies in a wide range of topics related to wealth accumulation, unemployment and labour force participation. Particular emphasis will be placed on application of search and matching theory, econometric implementation of dynamic programming problems and structural econometric estimation, as well as on the use of modern program evaluation techniques. The keynote speech of the workshop will be delivered by Prof. Robert Sauer (University of Bristol).

The deadline for submissions is 26 April 2010. Authors of submitted papers will be notified of the decision by the end of April, 2010. For submission, please send your paper as an email attachment to Andrey Launov (andrey.launov@uni-mainz.de).

University of Mainz will provide accommodation and reimburse economy class travel costs for the authors whose contributions were accepted to the workshop.

The workshop is public and open to all. Especially PhD students attending the lectures by Rob Sauer are very welcome to attend.
