Welcome to the website of the JGU Health Psychology lab.

JGU Health Psychology's research is devoted to the field of self-regulation and emotion regulation in health and chronic (somatic) disease. Research topics include correlates and predictors of self-regulation of health-relevant behaviors (e.g., diet, physical activity), mobile technologies in the management of disease, the design of innovative mobile health interventions, behavioral medicine of endocrine disorders, particularly diabetes mellitus, and the evaluation of health policy actions.

Real-life methodologies including Ecological Momentary Assessment and in-situ monitoring of physiological data are at the core of JGU Health Psychology's research and are complemented by a wide range of methodologies including experimental and mixed-methods research.
