Online Linguistic Support – OLS

All students participating in ERASMUS+ mobilities after 2015 can take advantage of the Online Linguistic Support (OLS).

ERASMUS+ wants to support the development of students’ language competencies. With the help of online language assessments (before and after the mobility) and online language courses with live tutors students can improve their language skills in the following 24 work languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish, and Swedish.

This offer is free of costs for all its participants and is supported by the European Union for all of the countries participating in the ERASMUS program.

The language assessments are meant to document the development of your language skills during your traineeship. They are explicitly not a prerequisite for funding and are not selective. However, according to new EU-guidelines, all ERASMUS+ students are required to complete the assessments. After the OLS license is allocated by the EU-ServicePoint, you will automatically receive an invitation e-mail you can use to register in the OLS portal and complete the assessments before and after the mobility.

Depending on the result of the first assessment you may automatically receive a license for a voluntary online language course free of charge. This offer is usually made for language levels A1 – B1 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please make use of the opportunity to improve your language competencies free of charge.

If you do not receive an automatic license for a language course, it may be possible to allocate one manually. In this case, please write us an e-mail.
