Implementing LLUs through training and development (01/2012 – 12/2013)

EU LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME  51882-LLP-1-2010-1-BE-KA4-KA4MP

From its beginning in 2012 to its conclusion in 2013, the Center for Lifelong Learning worked on the project IMPLEMENT together with other European partners. Said project sought to support universities in improving their performance as institutions of lifelong learning.
Focusing on five main topics – diversity, institutional change, curricula, regional collaboration between universities and recognition of prior learning – IMPLEMENT not only improved already existing training materials designed for university staff, but also created new and valuable learning resources and adapted them for national and international use. These resources are meant to help universities to reflect on their institutional situation, to develop action plans, and to implement changes that lead to these institutions becoming universities for which lifelong learning is not just an empty phrase, but actual reality.
The project’s work culminated in a package of online courses that can be accessed for free on EUCEN’s moodle platform.
