It's not easy for early bloomers. They only have a short time window in which to grow - these are not the best conditions for survival. In this course, children explore the environmental conditions of early bloomers as well as the tricks and strategies they need for survival. They get to know all about onions, tubers, and rhizomatous plants and their habitats. Small experiments to detect starch clarify their storage function.
About half of all animal and plant species live in tropical rain forests. Kids examine this fascinating habitat at various stops along the tour. Simple experiments are used to point out the ecological and structural differences to our domestic forests. Exercises highlight the possible uses of these forests, the way they are being destroyed, and how each and every one of us can do something to protect them.
