20th Annual Meeting of the German Association of Botanic Gardens

Water for Plants and People

September 20 – 23, 2012 at the Botanic Garden of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz

The Annual Meeting of the German Association of Botanic Gardens is the most important platform for the exchange of information among botanic gardens in the German-speaking world. The meeting is primarily designed for those who work in the academic, horticultural, and educational sectors associated with botanic gardens and arboretums but is also open to anyone who is interested in the subject of botanic gardens and their tasks and objectives.

"Water for plants and people" will be the keynote theme of the 2012 annual meeting. The focus will be on all relevant aspects associated with the resource water in the context of botanic gardens, such as aquatic plants, the sustainability of water usage, watering and water treatment, and educational opportunities with water as their subject.
