Research Interests

We are interested in the molecular mechanisms of neuron-glia interaction and myelin biogenesis with implications in CNS disease. In particular we are studying in the role of vesicles termed exosomes in the communication between neural cells and also between the CNS and the periphery.

Key techniques: Cell culture, protein biochemistry, molecular biology, immunocytochemistry, cell fractionation, exosome isolation, qPCR

Research system/organism: Mouse
